CBR.48hr - Canberra 48hr Race

2019 Race Results

FlyerUltra Race Timing is very pleased to present the FINAL AUDITED results for the CBR 48/24/12/6H races and marathon. There are no changes from the provisional results. Using dual passive timing chips and dual mats with the Race Result AG system and software allowed over 150,000 chip reads with high fidelity and 4 chip reads per person per lap- so no missed laps.

Individual Lap Details and Online Certificates are available for download at this site. Formatted results will be sent to IAU and DUV Ultra for consideration in International Rankings.

Congratulations to all participants, volunteers, crews and organisers for contributing to a World Class event!

The final word from the Race Director

The CBR48HR for 2019 is over for yet another brilliant edition of the event.

The final lap of this race also noted a final of another kind. The 2019 race is the last that will be directed by Billy Pearce and the KTKC Team.

2016 marked the first run of this event and it has evolved every year over the last four years to be a great addition to the running calendar, and a brilliant social event. The KTKC team have also been very humbled to have hosted the AURA 48hr Australian Championships each year with a significant number of records both national and international being defended, broken or created. This is a true reflection of the commitment and caliber of runners that participated over the years and testament to their crews who supported them.

The purpose of this event was always to host a high quality event for runners, by runners and create a ‘village’ atmosphere for all. We are so very grateful to all involved that have crewed other runners, supported peers, taken the opportunity to boost morales, provide advice to each other to continue to grow the sport of Ultra Running.

As noted in the 48hr presentations, the number of volunteers and supporters of this event are too many to mention individually and to try and mention all, we’d miss someone and not forgive ourselves!! Do know that your input has been so greatly appreciated and your ongoing friendships invaluable.
Also a big thank you to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia for letting us run this event in conjunction with your name to promote men’s prostate and general health.

This news certainly does not mark the end of the CBR48HR!

2020 will be presented by the Sri Chinmoy team and add to their quality array of professionally run events.
We look forward to seeing you at the event in 2020.
For now, it’s showers, clean clothes and a nap for us all.

Thank you for a great adventure and helping to create a fantastic event. We look forward to continuing to see you all around the racing circuit.

The important stuff!!
Why we do what we do…
